We present to you a report of our ventures into our understanding of virtual gatherings, exploring the spectrum from its history and influences to its future possibilities. These findings are gathered from real-time interactions and pouring over tomes of information available both virtually and physically.

- The Civic Program -

What is the report about?

The Civic Program is a design studio in the Diploma Program at the Architectural Association School of Architecture focused on research and ideation in the Immersive Internet. 

​

We believe as a collective that architects have a meaningful role to play among many other disciplines in the creation of the spatial internet as we begin to see the formulation of distant crowds within it.

​

We are curious observers. Ranging from early adopters of social VR to first time users we embrace technologies and ideas about virtuality from myriad points of view within our studio. We celebrate difference and above all discourse.
